With eyes closed to suggest inner reflection and heads elongated to convey a sense of spirituality, Jaume Plensa<\/a>\u2019s contemplative sculptural figures express peace in public places worldwide.\u00a0 In his latest solo show at Chelsea\u2019s Galerie Lelong<\/a>, Plensa presents heads that only partly emerge from the alabaster rock from which they are carved. \u00a0Collectively titled \u2018Nest,\u2019 the new work represents Plensa\u2019s feeling that the brain is like a nest, where dreams are born.\u00a0 (On view through Dec 23rd<\/sup>).<\/p>\n
