Beijing gallery Tang Contemporary Art<\/a> recently reopened<\/a> (after closing in January to prevent the spread of COVID-19) with a showcase of work by artists represented by Konig Galerie<\/a> in Berlin.\u00a0 The exhibition includes Austrian artist Erwin Wurm\u2019s deliberately absurd \u2018abstract sculpture\u2019 (formed from variously sized cast bronze frankfurters) which brings to mind recent work at New York\u2019s Lehmann Maupin Gallery<\/a> which involved food treated as an object rather than something to eat.\u00a0 Made entirely of concrete, this sculpture is a permanent version of Wurm\u2019s One Minute Sculptures<\/a>, in which participants interact with everyday objects.
