After famously taking his mobile photo studio to Times Square for his \u2018Inside Out\u2019 portrait project in 2013, French street artist JR hit New York\u2019s streets again in Spring \u201918 to make detailed photo collages championing the everyday New Yorker, now on view at Galerie Perrotin<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 Titled \u2018Chronicles of New York City,\u2019 the project follows \u2018Chronicles\u2019 in Paris and San Francisco and is also currently featured in Brooklyn Museum\u2019s Great Hall.\u00a0 JR invited over a thousand New Yorkers to step into his truck turned studio to \u2018present themselves as they\u2019d like to be seen and remembered.\u2019\u00a0 The resulting collages bring the city\u2019s citizens together in harmony and common purpose. (On view on the Lower East Side through Oct 26th<\/sup>.)<\/p>\n
