Inviting her subjects to pose for photos in their favorite outfits, Lopez sketches their forms on mesh, then builds 2-D representations from yarns that match complex varieties of skin tones and details of dress.\u00a0 The resulting monumental images celebrate the creativity and style of young and old while testifying to Lopez\u2019s mastery of her media.
