Led by the Armory Show, New York City is abuzz with art fairs this weekend, and one of the most unconventional is free, easy to get to and full of finds.\u00a0 Parked along 22nd<\/sup> Street between 10th<\/sup> and 11th<\/sup> Aves, the U-Haul Art Fair<\/a> consists of twelve U-Haul trucks and one 95-gallon trash can<\/a> repurposed as an exhibition venue.\u00a0 Apart from circumventing a tight real estate market and generally slow art sales, the galleries and independent curators of the fair are enjoying high visibility with their location outside some of Chelsea\u2019s biggest galleries. \u00a0Participants range from LES gallery Post Times<\/a> showing an absorbing assortment of mini-paintings by Minnesota artists Bruce Tapola and Melba Price<\/a> to New York based artists Bradley Milligan\u2019s and Dan Gausman\u2019s bin housing Kian McKeown<\/a>\u2019s kinetic sculpture, \u2018Cherry.\u2019\u00a0 (On view this weekend through Sunday, Sept 7th<\/sup>).<\/p>\n
