Late photographer Peter Moore<\/a> captured images of iconic performance art in NYC from the early \u201860s on, documenting events by Yayoi Kusama, Trisha Brown, Nam June Paik and others that are now the stuff of legend.\u00a0 Not only did he record artists, musicians and dancers, Moore also turned his camera on amusing signage and scenarios that presented themselves on the city streets.\u00a0 Now on view at Paula Cooper Gallery<\/a>, accompanied by Claes Oldenburg\u2019s drawings of his own performative take on street life, Moore\u2019s photos from the \u201860s to the \u201880s demonstrate his attentiveness and an appreciation for the lighter side of life.\u00a0 (On view in Chelsea through June 14th<\/sup>).<\/p>\n
