Holly Coulis at Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery

Holly Coulis’s latest paintings feature kitchenware, fruits and foods with a clean-lined graphic sensibility. Strong red outlines and softly glowing orbs of light take the still lives into another realm, however, making the familiar delightfully strange. (At Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery on the Lower East Side through Dec 6th).

Daniel Gordon in ‘Jew York,’ at Untitled Gallery

Brooklyn-based Daniel Gordon presents one of his signature photo collages at Untitled Gallery on the Lower East Side, a selection of apples and pears that update Cezanne’s twisted perspectives on fruit by adding multiple digital perspectives against contemporary but dated background textiles.  (Through July 26th).
