Jennifer Rochlin in ‘In Solidarity: A Benefit…’ at David Zwirner Gallery

LA artist Jennifer Rochlin’s background as a painter suggests itself in the multiple painterly images on this large vessel in David Zwirner Gallery’s fundraising exhibition, ‘In Solidarity: A Benefit for the American Immigration Council and Journey’s End Refugee Services.’  Picturing a brush-juggling artist seated before an easel and on the reverse side, two beavers popping out of a mountain lake, Rochlin shares her appreciation of the pleasures of artmaking and nature in an endearingly wonky ceramic form.  (On view in Chelsea through July 31st).
