Layers of patterned origami paper painted onto canvas appear to be paper-clipped onto their supports in Greg Parma Smith’s inventive solo show at David Lewis Gallery. Behind them, a host of animated characters suggests that people and paper are waiting to be transformed into something more – a story set against a patterned backdrop?
