Brazilian artist Marepe continues to use everyday materials, simply transformed to achieve big effects. In his latest solo show at Chelsea’s Anton Kern Gallery, he transforms two bikes into a stationary creature with human head and fish-like tail, a hybrid that suggests literal and figurative possibilities for forward movement.
